What it is built for
Deliberately narrow at first. An estate that falls outside this needs a lawyer, not a form generator.
Within scope
- The deceased left a will
- The original will exists and can be filed
- The estate's assets are in British Columbia
- No Public Guardian and Trustee involvement
Outside scope
- Estates with no will
- A lost or damaged will
- Assets held outside the province
- A contested estate, or any dispute among beneficiaries
